On April 24^th, 2012 the IV Seminar PRF-IKS for doctoral students entitled "The role of higher education in the development of the knowledge society" took place at the Polish Rectors Foundation.

During the meeting Professor Julita Jabłecka and Doctor Krzysztof Leja delivered lectures on Conception and model of HEI. During the next session, which was moderated by Professor Ewa Chmielecka, there was a discussion about the 8^th level descriptors of National Frameworks of Qualification, which relates to doctoral studies. Afterwards, during the last session, in accordance to the Seminar's assumptions, doctoral students presented the scope of their doctoral thesis's and research studies.
