Academic governance and university management – Polish and Ukrainian perspective

Project was implemented in terms of PRF cooperation with the group of invited experts and junior researchers from Ukraine (representatives of the Young Scientists Council at the Ministry of Education and Science), which included visiting research activities.

  • The project was led by a PRF visiting researcher Iryna Degtyarova (PhD), habilitant at the Dnirpopetrovsk Regional Institute of Public Administration, National Academy of Public Administration (Ukraine).
  • The partial results of the project (from the Polish questionnaire) were published in 2017.
  • The project will be completed in the first quarter of 2018, project results will be published and presented in Ukraine and Poland.
  • The project is one of the consequences of the recommendations of the first Polish-Ukrainian Research Project.

 

Polish-Ukrainian Project entitled "Analysis of cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian universities in terms of the comparison of the systems of higher education. Conclusions and Recommendations ".

Completed in 2015 project entitled "Analysis of selected examples of cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian universities in comparison with higher education systems. Conclusions and Recommendations " was a result of cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish rectors’ communities and experts. The main purpose of the aforementioned project was to identify, diagnose and analyze selected conditions of cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian universities in the field going beyond the students’ exchange.

The report in the form of a bilingual publication (in Polish and Ukrainian) was published and presented to the Ministers of both countries, and distributed among the CRASP and the Council of Rectors of Ukraine (URHEIU) and experts.
The first public presentation of the results, including conclusions and recommendations, of the Polish-Ukrainian Research Project was held on 5 June 2015 during the Ukrainian-Polish Seminar at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The participants of the meeting strongly supported the presented conclusions and recommendations made by project experts. It was suggested that these recommendations would help to intensify Polish-Ukrainian academic cooperation and support the scientific environment of both countries more effectively. Conclusions and recommendations focused on the national level (state level), systemic and community level (Rectors' Conference and representative bodies), as well as institutional (university) and local (regional level).
