The XVI School of Strategic Management for Chancellors and Bursars/Financal Directors took place from 31 May to 3 June 2015 and was organised by the Polish Rectors Foundation. The co-organizer of this school was the Institute of Knowledge Society. Meetings and lectures took place in the hotel "Binkowski"  in Kielce.  The project was realized in compliance with the guidelines of the Program of Permanent Projects of competence building of staff responsible for administering and/or managing HEIs.

The agenda of the School included 8 sessions of  lectures and 2 panel debates:

  • The questions related with financing, politics of salary, public tenders, systems rules - currently and future challenges.
  • Management of higher education institution in the light of regulations
  • Higher education from the perspective of development programs by 2020

The special guests included: the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education - Prof. Marek Ratajczak, the Director of the Legal Department of Public Procurement Office - Rafał  Jędrzejewski, the members of National Council for Science and Higher Education - prof. Janusz  Igras and prof. Marian Szczerek, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University - Prof. Jarosław Górniak, prof. Jerzy Wilkin -University of Warsaw, prof. Krzysztof Leja - Vice Dean of Faculty of Management and Economics of the Gdansk University of Technology, the Director of Department of Human Resource Management of Wroclaw University of Technology - Anna Kalinowicz, Adam Wiśniewski -  the head of the Office of finance and law in the Department of  the Department of Art and Culture Education in Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and Sebastian Kawczyński - the President of plagiat.pl. The average grade of the school for chancellors and bursars/financal directors based on evaluation forms completed by the participants was 4,4 (in the scale from 1 to 5). The next School of Strategic Management of Polish Rectors Foundation for Chancellors and Bursars/Financal Directors will be on 29 May to 1 June 2016.
