Rectors emphasized that keeping the traditional academic values is crucial for the university development as we;; as academic community, and there is a great need to promote them by national conferences of rectors. In this context, the university autonomy is recognized as the foundation for the functioning of higher education institutions, respecting the academic self-governance traditions.
It was agreed that the cooperation of the rectors' conferences in the next three years 2018-2021 will be carried out within the Polish-Ukrainian project entitled "Polish-Ukrainian cooperation of associations representing rectors, for the improvement of the university's performance", which received the support of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland. A joint Polish-Ukrainian research team will be created to conduct analysis and research on organizational solutions and governance models in higher education. Next rectors' seminars will be held alternately in Poland and Ukraine.
